Dr. Dimitrije Kirilović, born in 1897 in Kuman, was one of the most prominent Serbian intellectuals of the 20th century. After earning his PhD in philosophy from the University of Zagreb, Kirilović focused on linguistics, history, and literature.
His work left a lasting impact on the academic community, earning him several significant positions in his areas of expertise. In recognition of his contributions, the Society of Archivists of Serbia bears his name. This title is just one of many honors bestowed upon him during his lifetime and posthumously.
