Dr Drаgаnа Dаruši

Drаgаnа Dаruši was born in 1962 in Krаlјеvo. She spent her early childhood in Krаlјеvo and Аdа. She completed elementary school, Milоје Čiplić, as a top student, in Nоvо Bеčеј. The first guidance in her life, alongside her parents, came from teachers Glumičić Dаnila and Мilicа Аrsеnоv, who left an indelible mark on her further work and life.

Dr Drаgаnа DаrušiShe continued her secondary education and upbringing in Nоvо Bеčеј, and completed her General Medicine education in Zrеnjаnin. She then graduated from the Medical Faculty in Nоvо Sаd on time. During the academic year 1982-83, she was selected as a demonstrator at the Department of Pathological Anatomy. Due to her merits, she was admitted as an assistant at the Neurophysiology and Neurology Cabinet, EMG Cabinet of the Clinic for Rehabilitation of the Medical Faculty in Nоvо Sаd. She continued her training in this field at clinics in Zаgrеb, Clinical Center in Ljublјаna, Health Center Nоvi Sаd, Emergency Medical Assistance Nоvi Sаd, Home for Developmentally Disabled Children Vеtеrnik, and Clinic for Neurology Nоvi Sаd.

Aware of her qualities, she opened the doors to a new period as a pioneer, the first founder, and owner of a private practice in 1990 in Vојvоdinа, and later the Polyclinic SO-VIL and General Medicine Practice - Medical Practice SO-VIL, which she still manages today. She enrolled and successfully defended her master's thesis with honors in the field of neuro-oncology - neurology at the University of Bеоgrаdе in 1999, on the topic of Intracranial expansive processes of tumor origin with an atypical clinical picture. Concurrently, she completed her specialization in neurology with excellent success at the Clinic for Neurology and Psychiatry in Nоvо Sаd and Bеоgrаdе. She introduced SU JOK acupuncture as an auxiliary medical discipline into clinical practice and handwriting analysis for detecting personality profiles in emergency psychological support for patients.

From 1991 to 1995, through the initiative and founding of JAZAS in Nоvо Sаd, she conducted a series of educational lectures, visits to schools in the territory of Vојvоdinа and Nоvо Bеčеј during those years, as well as radio broadcasts dedicated to this topic. During the period from 1998 to 2001, she implemented the idea in the project "Let's Quit Smoking," feeling the taste of victory when her project and authored film "Exercise to Improve Breathing and Quality of Life," with the expert support of Prof. Ružica Beljanski-Čonkić, pulmonologist, won the first prize ahead of the Health Improvement Center of the Institute for the Protection of Health of Serbia Dr Milan Jovanović Batut in Bеоgrаdе, at the World Health Prevention Conference in Chicago. She has been cited numerous times in various texts of professional and daily literature. She led the Quality of Life theme in the daily newspaper Grаđаnski list, where she was the author of the weekly column "Under the Pen of SO-VIL Practice" from 2000 to 2005. She has participated in many radio and TV shows on the mentioned topics. Currently, she is a regular correspondent for the magazine Elixir.

She is currently in the final stage of preparing her doctoral thesis in the field of criminal psychology at the Department of Behavioral Disorders at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation in Bеоgrаdе. She currently lives and works in Nоvо Sаd.
