Vojislav Reznić was born in Novi Bečej on May 9, 1929, where he also received his education. He learned the craft of photography under Geza Sakač. After passing the craftsman’s exam, he worked in Melenci with photographer Pavle Homjakov. With three years of experience, in 1963 he returned to Novi Bečej and opened his own photography shop in the courtyard of the "Jadran" Hotel.
Vojislav Reznić, or as everyone called him, Foto-Šilja, initially traveled by bicycle, and later by motorcycle, visiting taverns, sports events, and various gatherings, with his camera always ready for action. He regularly visited nearby villages, especially for village festivities. After some time, he moved his laboratory to the Cooperative House – "Vojvodina" Cinema (entering from the dike – after the entrance, to the right). By purchasing a shop at 16 (18) Žarka Zrenjanina Street, two or three houses behind the former synagogue, he opened a small studio with a laboratory. He used Seagull, Kodak Compur (Voigtländer), Praktica, and Zenit cameras, and had a professional Braun F900 flash. He developed his photos using an Opemus 7420 enlarger.
He literally attracted his customers from the street, struggling to survive alongside the already well-established photography shops of Geza Sakač and Lajoš Čanji.
